HELENA–Things will be pretty smoky around the Helena Amphitheater the morning of Saturday, July 14, as the annual Helena BBQ Cookoff will highlight the Helena Market Days.
There’s still time for teams to register for the cookoff that will help benefit the Helena Miracle League with all donations from the amateur boston butt competition going to the organization.
Those not participating in the barbecue cookoff still have plenty of reason to come out to the amphitheater as there will be plenty of farmers, vendors and of course, samples of great barbecue.
During the competition, people will get to sample and vote on their favorites as prizes will be awarded at the end for the best teams.
The featured musicians at the Helena BBQ Cookoff will be Katherine Fowler from 8-10 a.m. followed by Thomas Trussell from 10 a.m. to noon.
The following farmers and vendors will also be on hand July 14:
–Evans Farm offering peaches, seasonal vegetables and fruits
–George Family Farm offering pastured beef, pork, chicken and lamb
–Latta Farms offering flowers, herbs, jams and seasonal vegetables
–Bee Creek Farms offering local honey and flavored whipped honey
–Mori Farms offering seasonal vegetables and pickles
–Southern Oaks Farm offering seasonal fruit and vegetables
–KC Seafood offering fresh Gulf seafood
–JnS Treasured Creations offering custom wooden home decor and furniture
–Skull Girl Soaps offering scented soaps and candles
–Brady’s Natural offering pickles, jams, apple butter and seasoning blend
–Smoked offering BBQ sauce
–Frios offering popsicles
–The Rolling Scones offering pastries and breakfast items
