Patsy Pearl Smith of Alabaster, entered Heavens Gates on Wednesday, May 23, at the age of 80.

Pat was an Alabama native. Born June 29, 1937, she was raised in Ensley. She was a true country girl who loved to camp, fish, and be outdoors.

She will join in Heaven her long missed husband, Robert Lee Smith; parents, Sam and Lilly Pearl Martin; and grandson, Michael Joseph “Joey” Smith.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, Mike Smith (Monica) and Steve Smith (Debbie); daughters, Pam Horton (John) and Donna Joiner; grandchildren, Jason Northcutt, Dusty Smith (Jessica), Tasha Ammons (Jeff), Cody Horton, Justin Smith, Nathan Smith (Katie), Andrew Sweat, Zach Sweat, Josh Sweat and Eric Selman (Jessica); and 14 great- grandchildren.

Pat was a loving mother and grandmother who devoted her life to raising her children. She will be dearly missed by her family, community, and all those who knew and loved her

Visitation was held Friday, May 25 at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo) from 10-11 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. Patsy Smith was laid to rest at Moores Cemetery in Montevallo.
