Gates House. This house built in the 1920s was the home of Johnny and Hattie Gates. Located on what is today Alabama 261, the home was in the direct path of the 1933 tornado. While the Gateses survived the storm, many of their neighbors were not so fortunate. (Contributed/City of Helena Museum)
