Buck Creek Bridge, 1913. This structure, built in 1911, was the pride of Helena. Before its construction, buggies and the new automobile had to ford Buck Creek just below the dam. The bridge was so well constructed that the piers of this structure are still in use today 107 years later. The top portion of the bridge was replaced in the late 1950s.
