Janet Kirkland, age 73, of Alabaster, passed away Sunday, April 8.

The visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 10 at Bolton Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Wednesday, April 11 at 2 p.m., at the funeral home with Rev. Steve Chance officiating. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Gardens. Bolton Funeral Home is directing.

Mrs. Kirkland, a lifelong resident of Shelby County was a member of First Baptist Church of Alabaster. She was a graduate of Shelby County High School and the owner of Kirkland Wrecker Service. She was a homemaker, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Mrs. Kirkland is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Kirkland, whom she was married to for 50 years, and parents, W. T. and Helen Bradley.

She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Kirkland Becker (Thomas); son, Scott Kirkland (Julie); grandchildren, Wade Kirkland, Lexie Kirkland, Jordan Stevenson, Brandon Stevenson; great grandchild, Barron Latham; sister, Terry Lovett (Mike); nieces, Michele Hawkins, Shannon Mills; nephew, Michael Lovett.
