Margaret Horton, age 77, of Shelby, passed away Friday, March 23.

The visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, March 25 at Bolton Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Monday, March 26 at the funeral home with Rev. Richard Horton and Rev. Tim Henry officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Creek Cemetery. Bolton Funeral Home is directing.

Mrs. Horton was a faithful member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She accepted Christ as her Savior on July 9, 1992.

Mrs. Horton is survived by her husband of 58 years, James W. “Billy” Horton; daughters, Karen Morris (Ricky), Janet King (Dennis), and Judy Watkins (Tony); son, Richard Horton (Amy); grandchildren, Krista, Brook, Zack, Josh, Bethany, Carrie Lee, Raylyn, Hattie, Dylan, Hunter, and Reed; eight great grandchildren; and one sister, Wilma Edwards.
