T.R. “Tom” Nash, left, and Clay Espey pose with their trophy of the day, a tom turkey.
This early 1940s photo captured two of Helena’s most avid hunters and fishermen.
Nash operated a drug store in Helena going back before World War I, and Clay Espey was the town barber who spun many a fish tale while cutting hair. (Contributed/City of Helena Museum)
