Rodney Clark Hightower, Sr., age 68 of Pelham, passed away Monday, March 19.

He was born on Aug. 22, 1949. He served his country as a Marine.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Frances Hightower.

He is survived by his loving wife, Martha Bartlett Hightower; daughters, Robin H. Hollingworth (Brent) of Pelham and Renee L. Hightower of Chelsea; sons, Rodney C. Hightower, Jr. (Kim) of Birmingham and Grady C. Tabor (Susan) of Nashville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Jordan Coston, Reece Coston, Riley Coston and Cole Hollingsworth of Pelham, Tallulah Hightower of Chelsea, Harlow Hightower and River Hightower of Birmingham, Francee Tabor and Asher Tabor of Nashville, Tennessee; brother, Calvin Hightower of Red Banks, Mississippi; and sister, Carolyn Deegan (Jim) of Red Banks, Mississippi.

There will be a memorial service in the chapel of Charter Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, March 23, followed by inurnment at the Alabama National Cemetery at 2:45 p.m.
