HOOVER – A Hoover 37-year-old was arrested on Thursday, March 15, for producing and disseminating child pornography.

Timothy Patrick Lagan faces charges of production of pornography with minors and dissemination/display of child pornography, according to court records.

Lagan is being held at the Shelby County Jail with bonds totaling $90,000.

Lagan lists an address off Birkshire Lane in Hoover.

According to court records, Lagan, in January through March, “did film, print, record, photograph or otherwise produce any obscene matter that contains a visual reproduction of a person under the age of 17.”

District Court Judge Daniel A. Crowson Jr. will preside over the case.

As of Friday, March 16, a preliminary hearing had not yet been scheduled.
