Lewis B. Walker, Sr., age 90, of Columbiana, passed away Tuesday, March 13.

The visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, March 15 at Bolton Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Friday, March 16 at the funeral home with Rev. Buster Timmons officiating. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Gardens. Bolton Funeral Home is directing.

Mr. Walker graduated from Auburn University and was an avid fisherman. He also had many civic duties throughout his life including being a Mason, a former two-term mayor of Columbiana, chairman of the Columbiana Water Board for 23 years, Columbiana city council member for eight years; and Shelby County Commissioner.

Mr. Walker is preceded in death by his wife, Imogene T. Walker, son, Russell F. Walker, and brother, Jack Forrest Walker.

He is survived by his children, Lewis B. Walker, Jr. (Marie), Ross T. Walker (Dawn), George T. Walker, and Timothy F. Walker (Onadean); 12 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Methodist Children’s Home.
