Ella Flemming Draper (1861-1924). In this circa 1915 photo, Mrs. Draper is probably taking a break from the duties of running her boarding house at the corner of Helena’s 1^st Avenue and Main Street.

The well-deserved break gave her a chance to catch up on all the local gossip and news from friends passing by her boarding house which she operated for men working at the Rolling Mill and local mines. (Contributed/City of Helena Museum)
