Charles Paul Minor, age 87 of Calera, passed away Friday, March 2 at his residence.

He was born in Chelsea on June 9, 1930, the son of the late John H. Minor and the late Irene Minor.

He was a former heavy equipment mechanic. He also served his country in the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Betty Minor of Calera; son, Randy Minor of Calera; daughter, Susan Minor of Tampa, Florida; granddaughter, Kim Delgado of Calera; granddaughter, Nicole Adamson of Wilna, New York; great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Minor, Haley Delgado, and Nikolas Delgado; and a great-great granddaughter, Tori Minor.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 5 at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home at Shelby Memory Gardens with Rev. Joe Raines officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in the Shelby Memory Gardens in Calera.
