HARPERSVILLE – World Class Kennels in Harpersville has changed hands.
The new owner is Emma Marshall, who recently purchased the business from Sharon and Dickson Kidd, according to Rebecca Walker-Jones at OLD Inc Business Brokers.
“World Class Kennels has proudly served the greater Birmingham area for over 15 years,” Walker-Jones said. “Sharon and Dickson were looking to retire and wanted me to find a buyer who would value their long-time customer base. The business, as well as being profitable, was in such a beautiful location, I knew it wouldn’t be too long before I found the right person.”
Marshall, who is originally from Australia, moved to Oklahoma City in 2012 to be an All Breeds Professional Dog Handler. She has had much success in the dog handling world both as a competitor and as a judge, and she brings all of that experience to World Class Kennels.
“I am thrilled about my decision to purchase a business in Alabama, and I intend to continue the high-quality service started by the Kidds,” Marshall said. “I am also excited to be bringing in additional services, including various dog training courses, horse boarding and Fun Day events. I would like to extend a warm welcome to clients old and new to stop by and see us as I embark on this new venture!”
World Class Kennels is located off Klein Road in Harpersville. Providing the ultimate in pet boarding, the kennels are the largest in the area and offer automatic water bowls for a constant supply of water.
In addition the well known “Pet Taxis” offer a pick-up and drop-off service giving clients the security of knowing that their four-legged loved ones are in good hands from start to finish.
