Calvin Daws “C.D.” Green, age 93, of Athens, Tennessee, formerly of Columbiana, passed away Sunday, Jan. 28 in Athens, Tennessee.

The visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3 at Bolton Funeral Home. The graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. at Pinelawn Gardens. Bolton Funeral Home is directing.

Mr. Green was employed as a general contractor with C.D. Green Co. in Columbiana. He also honorably served in World War II in the U.S. Navy as an Aviation Metalsmith 1st Class.

Mr. Green was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Smith Green; parents, John B. and Albertine Verchot Green; and siblings, Helen Ruth Hall (Clarence), John B. “Jay” Green, Jr. (Marie), George A. Green (Flora), and Christie M. Green.

He is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Columbiana United Methodist Church.
