Ethel Mae Moore Thomason, age 83, of Clanton, passed away Saturday, Jan. 27.

She took great pride in taking care of her home and family, helping to raise eight children in addition to her own. She volunteered at local hospitals and nursing homes. Ethel also served the ministry assisting her husband and was a retired missionary for Baptist Mid-Missions.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl William Thomason, Jr.

She is survived by her children, Doug Thomason, Rebecca “Becky” Price, and Dwayne Thomason; grandchildren, Chris, Charlene, Carlton and Courtney; and great-grandchildren, Cadence, Sebastian, Chandler, Skylee and Savannah.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, Jan. 31 from 10-11 a.m. at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo), with her funeral service to begin at 11 a.m. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo.

“As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
