Franklin James Greening, age 94, of Shelby, passed away Sunday, Jan. 21.

He was born in Port City, Utah on October 15, 1923, the son of Grandville Otis and Ella Eunice (Glazier) Greening.

Franklin was a World War II veteran, where he served with love, honor and valor in the U.S. Navy. He coached bowling for children in home schooling for over 15 years.

His survivors are son, Gary Greening; daughter, Sharon Griffith; grandchildren, Dawn Greening, Dena Greening and Michele Griffith; great grandchild, Jacob Boatright and five out of state great grandchildren.
