Police: Man stole more than $3,500 worth of tires

HOOVER – Hoover Police are seeking a suspect who has allegedly stolen more than $3,500 worth of tires from local service stations.
The black male who has been captured on surveillance video is wanted for questioning in five felony theft of property cases.
The video can be seen by visiting the Hoover Police Department Facebook page (@Hoover PD).
The suspect is driving a maroon Ford Fusion (unknown tag).
The first theft was on Nov. 29, 2017, and the most recent was on Jan. 10, according to HPD.
The suspect has pulled up next to buildings and then loaded up tires that are outside on display.
Targeted businesses have included Pep Boys off U.S. 280, Havoline Xpress on Alabama 119 and Express Oil Change off U.S. 31.
Neighboring agencies are working cases with the same suspect in similar thefts.
