John “Johnny” Gordon Lovelady, 73, died at home in Helena on Tuesday, Jan. 16.

Born on May 2, 1944, he is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Debbie Johnson Lovelady.

He also leaves behind his brother, James E. Lovelady (Barbara); children, Jason Lovelady and Lindy Lovelady Tubbs (Joshua); grandchildren, Jessica Lovelady, Josie, Amelia, Laurel, and Eva Rose Tubbs; as well as a host of nieces and nephews and friends.

Johnny was an avid hunter and outdoorsman who also loved mules and wagon trail riding.

Services will be held at Crossbridge Community Church in Helena on Saturday, Jan. 20. Visitation will be from 12-1:30 p.m. and the funeral service will begin at 1:30 p.m. with a graveside service to follow at Helena City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association.
