Billie Joe Burnett, a resident of Alabaster, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 10.

Mr. Burnett is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Mary Alice; children, Barbara Standifer (Phil), Danny Burnett, Wanda Rasmussen (Eric), Regina Naish (Dwayne), Alan Burnett, and Angel Moore (Tony); grandchildren, Scott Burnett (Tiffany), Briana Deal (Jason), Joshua Standifer, Tommy Rasmussen (Gigi), Roxanne Rasmussen, Emma Burnett, Jacob Burnett, Jordan Sturgis, Jade Burnett, Jensen Burnett, Tabitha Moore, and Amber Honeycutt (A.J.); two step grandchildren, Stephen Moore and Nikki Moore; and brother, James Burnett (Elaine). He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Callie Standifer

There will be a visitation for Mr. Burnett on Friday, Jan. 12 from 6-8 p.m. at Rockco Funeral Home in Montevallo. His service will be Saturday, Jan. 13 at 2 p.m. at Rockco. Burial will follow at Shelby Memory Gardens in Calera.
