Brian Lee Rosenow, age 57, of Helena, passed away Sunday, Oct. 22.

He was a member of Hunter Street Baptist Church where he was a former deacon and lead teacher for the Rosenow Sunday School class. He loved working at the UAB School of Optometry for 31 years. He served his country in two branches of the military, the US Navy and the Alabama Air National Guard.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Karen Rosenow; two sons, Phillip Rosenow (Jennifer) and Austin Rosenow (Carley); one daughter, Anna Grace Rosenow; four brothers, Gary, Michael (Vera), Brad (Patti) and Scott (Kathy) Rosenow; two brothers-in-law, Kevin (Pat) and Ken (Elizabeth) York; two sisters-in-law, Karyl (Eddy) Gardner and Kristin (Glenn) Ramsey; many cherished nieces, nephews and blessed with many friends.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Oct. 25 from 12:30-2 p.m. in the Worship Center at Hunter Street Baptist Church with a celebration of life service to begin at 2 p.m. Dr. Buddy Gray and Rev. Brian Hinton officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Two by Two Animal Rescue.
