COLUMBIANA – The Novella Club of Columbiana and Friends of the Columbiana Public Library are hosting two separate events within city limits on Saturday, Oct. 28.
The Novella Club is hosting its 22nd annual Antique, Arts and Crafts Show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Shelby County Exhibition Center. Friends of the Library is hosting the Columbiana Quilt Walk from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the downtown area.
According to a press release from the Novella Club, the Antique, Arts and Crafts Show will serve as a way for locals to buy gifts for weddings, birthdays, holidays and other occasions.
Proceeds raised from the Antique, Arts and Crafts Show will benefit the Miss Shelby County scholarship fund, Heifer International, the Shelby County Arts Council, the Columbiana Health and Rehab Center, Shelby County Safe House, a scholarship for a Shelby County High School student and grants for local teachers.
A flyer from the Friends of the Library stated that the Columbiana Quilt Walk will feature antique quilts, art quilts, kids’ quilts, senior center quilting and a free quilt pattern at each stop.
For the first time, Quilt Walk will also include verbal appraisals for $10 each, insurance appraisals for $50 each, a silent auction, a scavenger hunt and a book sale at the library.
The Novella Club is encouraging locals to attend both events. For more information about the Antique, Arts and Crafts Show, call 669-9001. More information about the Columbiana Quilt Walk can be found by calling Peggy Wood at 529-2480.
