SCBOE approves several administrative positions

COLUMBIANA–The Shelby County Board of Education approved several administrators in key positions across the school district during its regular meeting on Aug. 24.

Campanotta

Dr. Linda Campanotta was approved as the Shelby County Schools Elementary Coordinator.

Campanotta has over 29 years experience in education and is currently serving as the district’s federal programs supervisor.

She has a bachelor’s degree in early childhood/elementary education, a master’s degree in elementary education and an Ed.S in elementary education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She also earned a certificate in education leadership from UAB and a doctorate in educational leadership from Samford University.

Dustin Smith was named the new assistant principal of Calera Middle School. Smith has six years experience in education and is currently serving as the administrative assistant at Calera Middle School.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in secondary education and instructional leadership from the University of Montevallo.

Steve Bromley was approved as the new assistant principal of Calera High School.

Bromley has 15 years experience in education and currently serves as the administrative assistant at Helena High School.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in physical education from the University of Alabama and a master’s degree in education leadership from Arkansas State University.

Angela Clark was named technology program area specialist.

Clark

Currently, Clark is serving as a technology resource teacher for the school district. She has a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Mississippi State University, a master’s degree in educational leadership from William Carey University and an Ed.S in instructional technology from the University of Montevallo. In addition, Clark is a National Board Certified Teacher.
