PELHAM – The Pelham Public Library is getting ready to host the first of several events for the holiday season.
During the Holiday Mailbox Presentation, which is set for Monday, Sept. 18 at 6 p.m., patrons have the opportunity to learn about making festive mailbox covers through demonstrations by floral expert Suzy Reynolds-Smith.
“She demonstrates how she does the mailbox coverings and gives away the covers she makes during the session,” Library Director Mary Campbell said.
According to Campbell, Smith gives one tutorial on how to make mailbox covers from store-bought items and another using materials that can be found in nature.
Campbell said the Holiday Mailbox Presentation marks the beginning of the library’s holiday programs.
“It’s one of our earliest holiday events, which leads into our gingerbread house decorating program, which is our biggest program of the year,” Campbell said.
Campbell said an RSVP is recommended and the event is free to the public.
