Wayne Perry “Pa Paw” Raia Sr., age 75, of Wilsonville, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 5.

The visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 7 at Bolton Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 8 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo with Rev. Phillip Rush officiating. Bolton Funeral Home is directing.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Ann and Anthony “Tony” Raia; daughter, Leslie Merrell Raia; and brother, William “Bill” Raia.

Mr. Raia is survived by his wife, Nancy Raia; son, Wayne P. Raia Jr. (Judy); daughter, Kim Raia; stepson, Eric Vining (April); brother, Vincent Raia (Nancy); grandchildren, Trevor Raia, Hollie Merrell Campbell, Chance Vining, Jordan Raia, Coltin Vining, Juddson Raia, and Kalista Alexander; great grandchild, Leslie Campbell; and also the mother of his children, Nikki Raia.

He is also survived by aunts, many cousins and friends and honorary brothers, Jim Slaughter (cousin) and Johnny Howard.
