Mrs. Sarah Ruth Davis Baker, age 92, of Vincent went to be with our Lord on Saturday, Aug. 19.

Funeral services for Mrs. Baker will be Tuesday, Aug. 22 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Vincent, with visitation from 1-2 p.m. Burial will be in Vincent Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vincent First Baptist Church.

Mrs. Baker was born on Jan. 24,1925 to John R (Bob) Davis and Bessie Allgood Davis.

She graduated from Vincent High School. She lived a full life; traveling with her husband’s work, teaching kindergarten, being tremendously active in her church and always serving others.

Mrs. Baker is survived by her daughter, Beverly (Mark) Smith; grandchildren, Josh (Brooke) Smith and Joanna (Chris) Camper; five great grandchildren; sisters, Lois Jones, Myrtle Lou Austin and Wynell (Charles) Turner; brother, Grady Davis; and nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Baker was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Beryl Baker; brothers; Frank James Barnett and Gordon; and sisters, Gertrude, Louise and Roberta.

Special thanks for visits of friends and family prior to her death, Columbus Cottages, Aspire Rehab and Recovery and Comfort Keepers Hospice.

Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel will direct the service.
