Laura Vanderpool, age 78, of Columbiana, passed away Sunday, Aug. 20.

The memorial service will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 26 at Bolton Funeral Home with Rev. George Dudley officiating. Bolton Funeral Home is directing.

Mrs. Vanderpool is preceded in death by her husband, Buford Gene Vanderpool; son, Gary Wayne Gabbard; and sister, Ruby Amburgey Knowles.

She is survived by her daughters, Eugenia Vanderpool O’Daniel (Kent) and Sandra Vanderpool Dudley (George); brothers, Chuck Amburgey (Sandy), Kenny Amburgey (Nancy), Ralph Amburgey, and Danny Amburgey (Monnie); sisters, Brenda Gibbs (Bernie) and Linda Nickell; brother-in-law, James Knowles; grandchildren, Ansley Vanderpool, Laura and Emma Dudley, Lilli Truman, Gary Wayne Gabbard, Jr., Keisha and Garrett Gabbard, and Jake Gabbard; and numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
