HELENA–The Helena High School Band Boosters are putting a new twist on its typical fall fundraiser to help benefit the band.
In years past, the HHS band boosters have hosted a Glow Run where participants have entered a race that began in the evening.
This year, the event is being dubbed the DayGlo Run 5K, walk or crawl and is set to begin at 8 a.m., on Saturday, Sept. 9, at Helena High School.
The HHS Band Boosters are currently looking for runners for the fourth annual event, and those wishing to participate can register in a number of different ways.
Registration for the race may be done online, through U.S. mail or on the day of the race from 7-7:45 a.m.
Those registering online can visit Helenahighband.com where a number of different options are available depending on a participant’s age.
Adults that register before Aug. 21 can do so for $25 and will include a T-shirt. Students under the age of 18 can register for $10 or $15 depending on if a T-shirt is added on. Children under the age of five can participate for free. A chip timing may also be purchased for an official result for $5.
Registration forms can be found at Helenahighband.com.
