CALERA – Alabaster’s Unity Christian Center will give local youth a chance to enjoy some basketball while possibly earning some free school supplies this weekend at Calera Middle School.

The church is hosting its three-on-three basketball tournament on Saturday, Aug. 5, at CMS, which is at 9178 Shelby County 22. The tournament will begin at 10 a.m., and registration will be open from 8-9:30 a.m.

Each team can have up to five members, but only three can play at a time. Player admission is $10 per person 15 and older and $5 for kids between the ages of 8-14. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Spectator admission is $3 per person.

During the tournament, the church will look to unify the community while giving away free school supplies to those in attendance.
