HELENA–In an effort to raise funds for its children’s ministries, Helena United Methodist Church will be hosting a two-day consignment sale with a variety of clothing and accessories available at an affordable cost.

The sale will begin Friday, Aug. 25, at 9 a.m. and conclude on Aug. 26, at 4 p.m.

The fall consignment sale will be an opportunity for many to find back-to-school clothes at an affordable price, as 25 percent of the sales proceeds will go toward the HUMC children’s ministries.

Available items for sale will be fall and winter children’s and junior clothing sized newborn-junior sizes, back-to-school clothing including shorts and short sleeves, formal wear, semi-formal wear, pageant dresses, school uniforms, children’s shoes, Halloween costumes, indoor and outdoor toys, books, videos and DVDs, children’s and nursery décor including bedding, sheets and blankets, sporting goods, baby gear including swings, pack ‘n’ plays, bassinets, strollers, bouncy seats, maternity clothing and more.

New for the fall sale will be women’s clothing.

Some items that will not be available at the sale include car seats, spring/summer clothing, Easter clothing, swimsuits/cover-ups, any clothing items that have been recalled, stained, soiled or damaged, sippy cups, baby bottles, stuffed animals and toys that are damaged or missing pieces.

The time for customers to shop at the sale will be Friday, Aug. 25 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3-6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, the sale will be from 8 a.m. to noon and 3-4 p.m.

HUMC is looking for volunteers to work at the consignment sale. Those who volunteer will also receive opportunities to shop early for their help.

Volunteers can sign up under the worker registration tab located on the Helena United Methodist website and those that sign up to work two or more shifts will have an opportunity to shop at the early consignment sale on Aug. 24.

Those wishing to sell items can register to be a consignor until the Aug. 20 deadline and will receive 75 percent of the sales proceeds.
