Bruce Craig Bennett

Bruce Craig Bennett was born on Sept. 27, 1950 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and left for his heavenly home on Sunday, July 30.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bruce Montgomery Bennett, and his mother, Gloria FelderBennett of Denham Springs, Louisiana.

Craig is survived by his wife, Anita Brantley Bennett of Calera; sister, Carol Sue Smith (James) of Denham Springs, Louisiana; daughter, Heather Michelle Kenney (Allen) of Vienna, Virginia; son, Cody Montgomery Bennett (Deborah) of Montevallo; two grandchildren, Nola and Trey Kenney of Vienna, Virginia; and a great many other family and friends.

A celebration of his life will be held Tuesday, Aug. 1 at 11 a.m. at Alabaster Church of God, with Pastor Ken Stroup to officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A graveside service will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
