Mary Barnard Tindall Strickland, age 92, of Columbiana, born on Aug. 10, 1924, in Birmingham, passed to eternity on Tuesday, July 18.

This true Southern lady was a wonderful wife, mother and mother-in-law, grandmother, and aunt who always put her family first.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Hugh Strickland; her parents, Elmer Jackson and Helen Sanders Tindall; and by two sisters, Winifred Tindall Sharpe and Helen Tindall Glenn.

She will be remembered by a son, Jim Strickland (Beth); two daughters, Diann Strickland Weeks (Mike) and Susan Strickland Byars (Michael); six grandchildren, Lisa Strickland Davis (Darrell), Chris Strickland (Mindy), Jeff Weeks (Christi), David Weeks (Carol Montilla), Allison Tindall Byars (Calvin), and Mary Michael Byars Bozeman (Ray); and nine great-grandchildren, Derrick (Michele), Devin, Mary Molloy, Ellis Ann, Jackson, Garner, Flora, Charlie, and Lucy.

The family will celebrate her life in a private gathering and graveside service in Columbiana where they will remember and say farewell to her.
