Shirley Ann Barrett, age 70, of Calera, passed away Friday, July 7 at her home. She was born on Aug. 5, 1946.

She was preceded in death by her father, William E. Barrett, and mother, Mary Dale Sumner Barrett.

Ms. Barrett is survived by a sister, Lynda Anderson of Montevallo; two brothers, William Barrett of Birmingham and John Douglas Barrett of Florence; niece, Theresa Gibson of Calera; and nephew, Travis (Michelle) Anderson of Montevallo.

There will be a memorial service on Saturday, July 15 at 2 p.m. at Montevallo First Baptist Church with visitation from 1-2 p.m.

The family request that in lieu of flowers memorials be sent to the Shelby County Humane Society.
