William Lloyd Winslett

William Lloyd Winslett, 89, died Saturday, June 24 at Shelby Medical Center surrounded by family and loved ones.

Mr. Winslett is predeceased by parents Papa George and Ethel “Mama Wins” Winslett; and siblings Frances Winslett Wallace, Jewel Winslett, Henry Winslett, Eugene Winslett, Sara Winslett Carden, Herbert Winslett and Bobbie Winslett Cleckler.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Ollie Mae Davidson Winslett; children, Donna Mathis (Randy), Richard Norton (Lauri), Diane Winslett Chambers and Bo Winslett (Anita); seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Winslett Nash (Chelse); and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visitation will be Monday night, June 26 from 6-8 p.m. at Rocko’s Funeral Home in Montevallo. His celebration of life will be led by his family at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 27, with burial to follow at Enon Cemetery, 4994 County Road 18, Montevallo.
