HELENA–For those that will be near the Helena city limits the first weekend in July, a celebration will be held in Old Town Helena to celebrate the Independence Day holiday with plenty of vendors, entertainment, food and of course, fireworks.

The city of Helena, along with Helena First Friday, will merge to present the Fourth of July celebration on Saturday, July 1, beginning at 5 p.m. in Old Town.

Helena First Friday provides fun and entertainment Helena residents and families can count on for a good time and plenty of shopping opportunities from local retail and food vendors.

With the Independence Day holiday falling on a Tuesday this year, the citywide celebration will be held on Saturday, July 1, with the fireworks show set to begin promptly at 9 p.m.

The July Helena First Friday event is typically the largest turnout of the year and because of this, a wide range of retail and food vendors will be on hand in addition to the Old Town Helena storefronts staying open later.
