HELENA–Children interested in learning more about the basics and techniques of rifle shooting will have a chance to participate in a one-day camp at the beginning of July.

The Shelby County Shooting Sports Association will host a one-day BB Gun Camp on Saturday, July 8 from 8 a.m. to noon in Helena. The camp is open to children between the ages of 9-12.

The cost of the camp is $40 and participants will have fun as they learn the fundamentals of shooting BB guns from current rifle club shooters.

Participants will practice with a BB gun and learn skills to help them become life-long competitive rifle shooters.

The camp will be held at 574 Elvira Road in Helena and anyone interested in the camp should email information to Scssa.office@gmail.com or mail the information to the street address.

Those interested in the camp should provide a name, address, phone number and date of birth.
