HARPERSVILLE – The annual Music and Fireworks in the Vineyard event at Morgan Creek Winery in Harpersville this year will feature up-and-coming country star Glen Templeton.
Charles Brammer with Morgan Creek said the event has not featured a country artist before, but he thinks visitors will enjoy Templeton, a Tuscaloosa native whose “old-school” sound he compared to Conway Twitty.
“This is a fun family-friendly event,” Brammer said. “It’s pretty laid back.”
Music will be performed from 5-9:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 10, at Morgan Creek Winery, which is located at 181 Morgan Creek Lane in Harpersville.
The fireworks show will take place around 9:30 p.m.
Admission is $10 per person, with children 12 and under free.
Reserved tables that seat eight are available for $30 in addition to the cost of admission.
Anyone interested in a reserved table, or with questions about the event, should call the winery at 672-2053.
Those who do not reserve a table should bring chairs or a blanket. Seating will be available close to the stage or further away, depending on what type of experience the guests are seeking, Brammer said.
In addition to the music and fireworks, the event will feature wine tastings, wine available for purchase by the bottle and the glass, winery tours and barbecue and burgers sold by Childersburg-based Natch’s BBQ.
Guests are asked to leave pets at home.
