PELHAM – The Pelham City Council approved a $238,876 bid from Wiregrass Construction Company for a street resurfacing project at a meeting on Monday, April 17.
Lee Street and Business Center Park will be resurfaced, Public Works Director Eddy Jowers said.
There was some discussion among the City Council about adding some streets in the Parkside Village neighborhood, near Pelham City Park, to the paving list, those plans have not been finalized.
“We try to schedule it in the summer months when school is out as not to disrupt school traffic,” Jowers said.
He added that the project must be completed by the end of fiscal year 2017, which ends Sept. 30.
