Nadine Garrett Joiner, age 85, of Shelby County (Columbiana), peacefully departed this life, ascending to a beautiful place called Heaven Saturday, April 29.

Nadine is now resting peacefully in the eternal, and while she is not here with us physically, her sweet-loving spirit continues to fill our hearts.

She was a loving daughter to her late parents, Wilton C. and Clara Belle West Garrett of Shelby County.

She is predeceased by husbands, Willie Jordan Pate and Jackie Lee Work; and sister, Willie Rae Naish.

Her survivors include her devoted and loving husband, Virgil Lewis “Pee Wee” Joiner; sons, Randall “Randy” Pate and Richard Pate (Laura); stepsons, Freddie Joiner and Edward Joiner; brother, W. C. Garrett; grandchildren, Sarah Hart (Richard) and Anna Woods (Ricky); great grandchild, Stella Pate Woods and a host of other family members.

A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m., Wednesday, May 3 at Charter Funeral Home with a funeral service to follow at 12 p.m. at the funeral home.
