Dock D. Jones, age 63, of Shelby, passed away Tuesday, April 25.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, April 27 at Bolton Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Friday, April 28 at 11 a.m. at Bay Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Linholm officiating. Burial will be at the adjoining cemetery. Bolton Funeral Home is directing.

He was employed by Brasfield and Gorrie for 31 years.

Mr. Jones is preceded in death by his parents, James Henry “Steamboat” and Grace Seale Jones; siblings, Bobby, Harvey, Luke and Diane Jones; sister in law, Elsie Jones; brothers in law Billy Pearson and Jimmy Reynolds.

He is survived by his daughter, Tamar Jones; son, Joshua Jones (Angie); grandchildren, James Jones, Brooklyne Brechin (Donnie), Ronnysha Harkness, Christina Grace Jones, and Grayson Jones; siblings, Hube Jones (Margaret), J.V. Jones, Joyce Pearson, Charles Jones (Mildred), Mary Jo Reynolds, and Ruby Linholm (Terry); sisters in law, Evelyn Jones, Linda Jones, and Elsie Jones; and a host of nieces, nephews.
