Bishop John Beane, age 88, of Columbiana, passed away Monday, April 17, at his home.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Saturday, April 22 at Bolton Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 23 at the Apostolic Truth Center. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Gardens. Bolton Funeral Home is directing.

He and his wife, Myra Thomas Beane, resided at the original church site, founded by him in November 1969. His legacy lives on through his extensive family and the new Apostolic Truth Center sanctuary, built and pastored by his son, Gary Beane, and currently pastored by his grandson, Josh Beane.

Bishop Beane is survived by his wife of 67 years, Myra Thomas Beane; five children, Gary (Jan), Sherry (Richard), Marsha (Terry), Cindy (Toby), and Stephen (Ishmael); 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; and two sisters, Ruth Chapman and Doris Belless.

He was loved dearly by his family, church, and community. He will be deeply missed by all.
