Robert Eugene Letson, Jr., 85, of Calera died Monday, April 10 at Divericare of Riverchase, Birmingham.

He was born on Tuesday, July 14, 1931 in Gulfport, Mississippi, son of the late Robert Eugene Letson, Sr. and the late Daisy Letson.

He was a sheriff officer.

Surviving are his wife, Peggy Letson of Calera; sons, Robert (Joy) Letson of Maylene, Mark (Patti) Letson of Fultondale, and Tim (Vickey) Letson of Pelham; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Daisy Letson.

Friends will be received from 10-10:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 12 at Martin Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, April 12 at 11 a.m. at Verbena Cemetery.
