Tim “Beanie Weenie” Green, age 57, of Montevallo, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, March 11.
He attended Jemison and Montevallo High Schools. He served in the US Army, where he earned his nickname. He owned Tim Green Mobile Home Remodeling. He loved doing anything outdoors – farming, hunting, and fishing. He was a true patriot and Florida Gator fan. He loved his family, and was always “adopting” new children into the family. He was outspoken and honest to a fault. He loved life and would give you the shirt off his back. He was truly one of a kind, and will be terribly missed.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Newt Green; sister, Wanda Marie Green; and brother-in-law, Billy Wall.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Smith; children, Philip Brown (Erin), Mandy Green (James Russell), Austin Garner, Justin Garner (Kacey), Haylee Green (Brantley), and Candace Williams; 11 grandchildren; mother, Ginnie Marie Green; sisters, Diana Lynn Wall and Bobbie Joe “Bob” Mullins (Mike); brother, William “Little Buddy” Green (Sheila); numerous nieces and nephews; and best friends, Duke, Skid and Jeremy.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 16 from 5-7 p.m. and on Friday, March 17 from 12:30-1:15 p.m. at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo). A graveside service will follow Friday, March 17 at 2 p.m. at Mars Hill Cemetery in Jemison.
