Dawn Massey Poplin
Alabaster

Dawn Massey Poplin, of Alabaster, our sweet angel of God, went home into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, March 9.

She may have lost her battle with cancer, but she won the ultimate prize: everlasting, pain-free life in paradise. She was a loving wife and mother, and she loved her children more than life itself. A loving daughter, sister, and aunt, her family was so precious to her. So many friends and loved ones to count, she was so special and touched a countless number of people. She will be dearly missed by so many, but we will see her again soon. It’s okay to let go and go to sleep, my sweet baby. I’ll see you in the morning.

She is survived by her husband, Stephan W. Poplin; three children, sons, Stephan M. Polin, Harrison K. Poplin, and daughter, Madison T. Poplin, all from Alabaster; her parents, James B. Massey and Nancy K. Massey of Locust Fork; her brother, Doug Massey (April) also of Locust Fork; her sister, Dana Armstrong (Anthony) of Hayden; brothers-in-law, Chris Poplin (Sherrie) of Blowing Rock, North Carolina and Rickey Poplin (Kim) of Tobaccoville, North Carolina; nieces, Abby, Anna, and Ella Armstrong of Hayden, Olivia Poplin of High Point, North Carolina, and Courtney, Cassidy, and Charla Fountain of Locust Fork; and nephews, Cole Massey and John David Fountain of Locust Fork, Justin Poplin of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Travis and Nicholas Poplin of Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
