Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Meyer of Lester, Alabama, announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Rebecca Anne Meyer to Caleb McCarley Whitson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roger Whitson of Columbiana.

Rebecca is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Gasparetto of Dearborn Heights, Michigan, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Eric Meyer of Hoover, Alabama.

Rebecca graduated from the University of Alabama-Huntsville with her bachelor’s degree in nursing and is currently employed as a registered nurse on the Mother/Baby floor at Madison Hospital in Madison, Alabama.

Caleb is the grandson of Gene Duffey and the late Jeanie Duffey of Wilsonville and Nita Whitson and the late Sam Whitson of Shelby.

Caleb graduated from the University of Alabama-Huntsville with his bachelor’s degree in nursing and the University of Alabama-Birmingham with his Master of Science in nursing. He is a Critical Care Nurse Practitioner at Princeton Hospital in Birmingham.

The wedding date is April 22, 2017, at Cullman First United Methodist Church in Cullman, Alabama.
