Frances Juanita Moore, age 87, of North Shelby County, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 18.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. – noon, Saturday, Jan. 21 at Bolton Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at noon. Burial will follow in Wilsonville City Cemetery. Bolton Funeral Home is directing.

Mrs. Moore was a devoted Marine Corps wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She worked for several years in the Wilsonville Baptist Church Nursery and youth department. As a senior, she donated her time to RSVP of Shelby County and the Meals on Wheels Program. She had been enjoying the last 9 years spending time with her friends at the Heardmont Senior Center and living with her daughter and family. She has left her lasting imprint on many family, friends, and anyone she thought needed someone to talk to them. She never met a stranger.

Mrs. Moore is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Roy B. Moore, and sister, Dottie Davis.

She is survived by her sons, Larry D. Moore (Carol) and Andrew B. Moore (Diane); daughter, Linda M. Whitson (David); grandchildren, Bret Moore (Laura), Joshua Whitson, Jacob Whitson, Jordan Whitson, Brooke O’Brien (Steve), and April Ling; six great grandchildren; sister, Maggie Lou Armstrong; and numerous other family and friends.
