Charles Carden, age 71, of Alabaster went to be with the Lord Sunday, Jan. 15.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 19 at Bolton Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Friday, Jan. 20 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Allen Foster and Bro. Eddie Bozeman officiating. Burial will follow in Dargin Cemetery. Bolton Funeral Home is directing.

Mr. Carden is survived by his wife, Mary Carden; three children, Penny Franklin (Charles), Tammy Carden, and Jason Carden; two grandchildren, Joshua Simpson and Jessica Simpson; great grandson, Gabriel Rauccio; siblings, Jim Carden (Charlie), Sandra Stewart (David), Carol Crawford (Larry), David Carden (Terri), and Wayne Carden (Kelly); and a host of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Frances Carden; and siblings, Rusty Carden, Helen Carden, and Johnny Galloway.
