Eunice Turner, age 100, a life-long resident of Chelsea, passed away peacefully in her sleep Thursday, Jan. 5. She turned 100 years old on April 1, 2016.
Visitation will be from 4:30-7 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 10 at Chelsea Church of God. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 11 with Rev. Mike Kiker officiating. Burial will follow in K-Springs Cemetery.
Bolton Funeral Home is directing.
Ms. Turner was the oldest member of the Chelsea Church of God. They had her a 100th birthday party with a host of family and friends. Everyone who knew her was amazed at her ability to recall dates and events.
Ms. Turner is preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Turner, Sr.; son, Anthony Turner; daughters, Jean Brasher and Evelyn Grantham; and grandchildren, Shawn Brasher and Tim Turner.
She is survived by her sons, Charles Turner (Wynell) and Floyd Turner, Jr. (Kathye); daughters, Jackie Brasher (Marlin) and Brenda Sears (David Cockerham); 15 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; numerous other family and friends.
