ALABASTER – Creek View Elementary School’s Little Warrior Voices delighted a packed house on the night of Dec. 6 as they presented several songs of the season.
During the concert, which was held in the school’s cafeteria and directed by CVES music teacher Ann Coe, the choir presented a “Student showcase,” during which the kids sang “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas,” “Feliz Navidad,” “Silent Night” and “O Hanukkah.” Before each song, multiple kids took the mic to explain the history and meaning of each song.
Following the Student showcase, the choir held an audience sing-along, during which the kids invited those in attendance to sing along to the Christmas favorites. The sing-along included “Jingle Bells,” “Up on the Housetop,” “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” and “We wish you a Merry Christmas.”
Lauren Blackmon and Maggie Pike sang solos during “Jingle Bells” and Charli Amato and Phoenix Rudolph sang solos during “Up on the Housetop.”
