MT LAUREL – The Mt Laurel Christmas Open House and Holiday Market was such a hit in 2015 that it is being held again this year.
The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3 at the town of Mt Laurel.
Organizer Kelly Burley of Mt Laurel business Main Street Florist said the event is an opportunity to bring people to the town.
“It’s way bigger than a farmers market but not as big as a spring festival,” Burley said to give attendees an idea of what to expect.
Vendors will pay a fee to participate, but admission for shoppers is free.
Between 50 and 100 vendors are expected, Burley said, and of course some Mt Laurel businesses will be open during the same time.
Vendors will offer a range of items including vegetable soup, wood products, monogramming, fresh farm fare, crafts and more.
Burley also pointed out that the event is family and pet friendly.
Mt Laurel Marketing Manager Julianna Vance said the Mt Laurel Idea House will also be open at the same time as the Holiday Market.
The Idea House is a more than two decades long Southern Living tradition. Each year, the magazine gathers a team of builders, designers and landscapers to renovate or construct a home “from the ground up,” Southern Living’s website states.
Mt Laurel was picked to host the magazine’s 50th Anniversary Idea House.
The house will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 3.
The house will close to the public on Dec., 18, Vance said, making the Mt Laurel Christmas Open House and Holiday Market one of the last opportunities for visitors to see it.
“We just hope everybody comes and shops and enjoys the day,” Vance said.
