HELENA–The Helena Belles, an organization that is made up of young women in grades 9-12 chosen to represent the city of Helena, will be swapping out their long flowing dresses for shorts and jerseys for the second annual powder puff football game.

The game will be played Thursday, Nov. 17 at 7 p.m. at the Helena Sports Complex.

Admission to the game is $5 and all the proceeds from the game will go toward the Open Hands, Overflowing Hearts organization to help fund research to end pediatric cancer.

For every $5 ticket a person purchases, they will automatically be entered into a raffle for a chance to win a signed Nick Saban football or a $50 Oh My Sole gift card. The more tickets purchased, the greater the odds of winning the raffle. The winner does not have to be present to win.

Last year, the inaugural powder puff game raised more than $2,500 for the Arthritis Foundation, and the hope this year is to raise just as much or more money for OHOH.

The OHOH organization was started after Kayla Perry, currently a sophomore at Auburn University, was diagnosed with stage IV Neuroblastoma a few years ago. The organization exists to bring awareness to childhood cancer and to raise money for pediatric cancer research that currently receives little funding.

Tickets to the powder puff game can be purchased at the gate the night of the game, at Oh My Sole in Old Town Helena or through any Helena Belle.
